De liedjes van de Cubaanse salsakoningin zijn ingebed in een historische aanvaring ten tijde van de Cubaanse revolutie; Sanchez, de machtige vrouw naast Fidel Castro vraagt de gevluchte zangeres terug te komen naar Cuba. Een voorstelling over het conflict tussen loyaliteit en identiteit.
