In het nieuwe boek van schrijver en regisseur Koos Terpstra, ‘Het Eiland’, gaat hij op zoek naar zijn jeugd op Texel. Koos Terpstra werkte bij verschillende toneelgezelschappen en was jarenlang artistiek leider van het Noord Nederlands Toneel. Zijn stukken werden vertaald in het Duits, Engels, Frans en Zweeds.
