Saxofonist en componist Jasper Blom krijgt de Buma Boy Edgarprijs 2019, de belangrijkste Nederlandse Jazzprijs. De jury prees hem voor zijn avontuurlijkheid, zijn humor en zijn omvangrijke diepgaande oeuvre. Met zijn Jasper Blom Quartet bracht hij recentelijk een live-dubbel album uit met een breed stijlscala van pop, funk, en freejazz tot soundscapes en middeleeuwse polyfonie.
