<p>Als actrice werd Gerda Havertong bij het grote publiek bekend als gewoon ‘Gerda’ in Sesamstraat. Vorig jaar werd ze in november uitgeroepen tot Harpers Bazaar Woman of the Year. Met haar stichting ‘Wiesje”, die is vernoemd naar haar eigen dementerende moeder, zet ze zich in voor de mentale gezondheid van mensen in dementie in Suriname. Onlangs vierde de stichting in december haar 25-jarige jubileum. </p>
