Die Volksinitiative «Für eine gerechte Energie- und Klimapolitik: Investieren für Wohlstand, Arbeit und Umwelt (Klimafonds-Initiative)» fordert, dass der Bund einen Klimafonds erstellt. In diesen soll der Bund jährlich 0,5% bis 1% des Bruttoinlandsprodukt einzahlen, also rund 4 bis 8 Milliarden Franken.
