Show Notes

From Photography to Film Noir: Stanley Kubrick’s Early Career was a special event held at the museum on May 22nd 2018.

Inspired by the exhibition Through a Different Lens: Stanley Kubrick Photographs, the museum examines two of the first films Kubrick ever made, Day of the Fight from 1951and Killer’s Kiss from1955, in a screening and talkback session. New York magazine film critic Emily Yoshida and co-curators of the exhibition Donald Albrecht and Sean Corcoran consider the connections between these formative films and Kubrick's early start in photography, as well as the imaginative eye and visual flair that would come to define his later work. Introduction by Fran Rosenfeld.

Recorded: 22nd May 2018

Hosted by Jason Furlong /  Written by Stephen Rigg and Jason Furlong / Original music written and performed by Jason Furlong / Produced and edited by Stephen Rigg
