Retired FBI agent and criminal profiler Candice DeLong speaks with attorney and former public defender Kate Hardie to discuss the trial of Sarah Boone. In 2020, Boone was charged with second-degree murder in the death of her boyfriend, Jorge Torres Jr., after zipping him in a suitcase during a game of hide-and-seek and leaving him to suffocate. After years of delays, Boone went to trial – and was ultimately convicted. Candice and Kate discuss the role Boone’s own testimony played in her trial, her difficulties in working with various court-appointed attorneys, and what may come next for her following her sentencing.
