Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast which is gearing up for its 200th episode! We talk about the Khandaan Bracket that we're running on Twitter and what went into its making. The winner will feature on episode 199.
We also discussed the Bollywood documentary released by friend of the podcast Haroon Rashid, " Can Bollywood Survive?", as well as his interview with a post Gadar 2 Sunny Deol that continues to make waves.
We round things off with a discussion of Raj and DK's GUNS AND GULAABS starring Dulquer Salmaan, Gulshan Devaiah, Rajkumar Rao, Adarsh Gourav, and others before launching into our main review: 1993's PARAMPARA.
Directed by Yash Chopra, this was Saif Ali Khan's debut film and it took us to many unexpected, half-remembered places. Starring Sunil Dutt, Vinod Khanna, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Raveena Tandon, Ashwini Bhave, Ramya Krishnan, and many others, this is the kind of Hindi movie that doesn't really get made any more. And maybe that's a good thing.
