Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where today the review of the week is none other than DISCO DANCER (1982) starring Mithun Chakraborty.
This classic dance film, directed by Babbar Subhash (Kasem Paida Karne Wale Ki, Dance Dance, Love Love Love), can best be described as a series of scenes held together by some of the best disco music to have come out of India, courtesy the one and only Bappi Lahiri. Co-starring Rajesh Khanna, Om Puri, Karan Razdan, Kim, and Kalpana Iyer, this movie was a sensation when it came out. Join us on a surprising journey we didn’t expect to take.
