Some immigrant families across California are setting up emergency plans in case an undocumented parent is suddenly detained or deported. KFI's Heather Brooker spoke with Los Angeles family lawyer Alphonse Provinziano, who says many parents are signing papers to give relatives or friends legal authority over children and finances if they don’t make it home. He adds that even families without undocumented members are preparing, after some high-profile detainments. Provinziano calls these plans “a godsend” for parents looking for peace of mind.
