TSA wants to charge travelers $18 to use a facial recognition biometric system if they turn up at the airport to fly without a REAL ID or passport. The H5N5 bird flu virus has leapt from animals to a human in the Pacific Northwest. The person who has underlying health conditions is presently hospitalized. This strain has already jumped to other mammals, including cattle, hence recommendations to not drink raw milk. No evidence of human-to-human transition.
