Guest: Edythe Strand, Ph.D., CCC-SLP - Dr. Strand has contributed immensely to speech-language pathology and the quality of life of people with apraxia of speech. Dr. Strand describes her work with both children and adults that led her to the development of the Dynamic Evaluation of Motor Speech Skills (DEMSS) and Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC). She identifies key characteristics and explains how CAS differs from other speech sound disorders. Dr. Strand applies motor learning principles to treat adult and childhood apraxia of speech.
