Episode 11: Today's episode is an introduction to Robinson Smith, president of Smith Consulting Group Ltd and we will be discussing the mortgage conversion strategy his father developed forty years ago. The Smith Manoeuvre is a must-know strategy for all Canadian homeowners, especially these days with high interest rates, steep inflation and a general inability for most Canadians to invest for their future. Robinson lived and worked in China for eight years in a number of roles such as foreign service contractor, project developer and investment banker. Most recently, after a dozen years in Victoria as a retail investment adviser helping his clients implement The Smith Manoeuvre, he sold his advisory to focus on spreading the word about the strategy to Canadians across the country by publishing his best-selling book, Master Your Mortgage for Financial Freedom, and growing the national network of Smith Manoeuvre Certified Professionals. He lives in Victoria, BC, with his wife Heidi and their Havanese, Harley.
