Guest speakers Family counselor Mrs. Gonzales and ELA teacher Mrs. Valencia shared their wealth of experience with students interested in teaching and counseling. They offered thoughtful answers to student questions on forging strong connections with both students and parents, crafting consistent classroom routines, and designing impactful lesson plans. Their practical advice and candid reflections provided invaluable guidance for those preparing to enter the workforce with confidence and clarity.

Mental health monday is a podcast created for CSUDH students and is a place where you can learn about mental health, get helpful tips, and find support and resources. Each episode discusses topics that matter to students, like managing stress, dealing with anxiety, and staying healthy. This podcast is a collaboration between two departments on campus: Toro Guardian Scholars and Health and Well Being. It aims to create a safe space for students to talk openly about their mental health, share experiences, and discover ways to improve their wellbeing during their time in college.
