KFR 118: The history of Akira Toriyama

This episode, we’re looking back at the history of one of the greatest Mangaka to have every put pen to paper – the late Akira Toriyama.

Toriyama created many loveable characters and series celebrated the world over including Dr Slump, Blue Dragon and Dragon Ball, as well as lending his skills to a number of game designs including the iconic Dragon Quest and it’s slime design, and Chrono Trigger!.

Unfortunately, Toriyama passed away on March 1st, 2024, so join us as we celebrate an artist who helped bring anime to Western audiences and inspired artists the world over!
