Tyra Randle, a survivor of domestic violence, was shot eight times by her ex-partner, leaving her paralyzed. Despite the trauma, she started a nonprofit, Diamond in the Rough, to support survivors and people with disabilities. She also became Ms. Wheelchair Missouri and advocates for survivors. Her ex-partner received life imprisonment plus twenty years. Tyra encourages those in difficult situations to reach out to the National Domestic Violence Hotline for help.
