Spires Integrity Program in Kansas City: Upgrading Pipelines for Safety and Efficiency
Spire, the gas company, is currently replacing old steel pipes with modern plastic ones along The Paseo in Kansas City. This project, part of their Integrity Program, aims to boost safety, cut emissions, and reduce future repairs. The Paseo phase near forty-ninth Street is expected to wrap up in mid-March, while another spot off sixty-third Street will finish in April. Meanwhile, a project in the River Market is nearing completion. Spire replaces around 100-140 miles of pipeline each year, coordinating with the city to minimize disruptions, including during the World Cup. For more information, locals can call Spires western Missouri line.
