Kansas Puppy Found Sealed in Tote, Abandoned; Suspect Charged with Animal Abuse

A four-month-old puppy named Kenji was discovered inside a plastic tote outside an animal care center in Bonner Springs, Kansas, after being left there overnight during a storm. The pup had a serious rectal prolapse and required emergency surgery. The suspect, who also surrendered two more puppies, was charged with animal abandonment. The dogs are now recovering and will be ready for adoption through Great Plains SPCA.
