Tragic Accident: Plane Crashes Near St. Louis, Pilot Killed
A small twin-engine plane crashed near St. Louis, Missouri, on Tuesday morning, killing the pilot. The Aero Commander five hundred B was en route to New Century Air Center in Olathe, Kansas City, but turned back soon after takeoff and crashed short of the runway at Spirit of St. Louis Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the accident.
