Mariner Wealth Advisors Acquires Cowell Insurance Services, Expanding Their Offerings and Client Base
Mariner Wealth Advisors has acquired Cowell Insurance Services, a property and casualty insurance firm based in Overland Park, Kansas. The deal, which closed on March 4th, brings new business and personal risk advisory options to Mariners lineup. Cowell Insurance Services, founded in 2009 by Lance Cowell, focuses on commercial and personal coverage, underwriting, claims help, and risk management strategies. All eighteen team members will now work under the Mariner name. The acquisition is Mariners third major buy this year, following the purchase of First National Advisors and Strava Wealth in January and the takeover of Alinity Wealth Management by Mariners independent advisory arm. Mariners CEO Marty Bicknell sees property and casualty insurance as a perfect fit for their mission to expand and serve clients wherever their needs lead.
