Show Notes
On March 9, 1941, Leila Welsh was brutally murdered in her Kansas City home. The intruder, who had been stalking her, entered through an open window, bludgeoned her with a chisel, slashed her throat, and left gruesome marks before fleeing. Despite extensive investigation, no clear prints or evidence pointed to a suspect. Leilas brother, George, was arrested and tried for the murder, but was acquitted due to lack of evidence. A new book by author Eli Frankel suggests a connection to the Black Dahlia murder in Los Angeles six years later, but with no hard proof, the case remains unsolved.
