Show Notes

February in Kansas City, Missouri, was a scorcher, with temperatures soaring to record-breaking highs. The month averaged a sweltering 42.8 degrees, smashing the normal 33.3 degrees. Average highs reached 54.9 degrees, making it one of the top five warmest Februaries ever. The heat waves hit hard at both ends of the month, with a record 76 degrees on the 9th and another near-record 74 degrees on the 27th. Precipitation was also low, with just 0.59 inches of rain, and snow was virtually non-existent, marking only the eleventh time in history the month has seen no measurable snow at all.
