Kathryn Messick, a Kansas City art teacher, has made history by being selected for the Parade of Hearts three consecutive years. Her latest design, Hearts of Unity, reflects on Americas current state and its founding ideas, coinciding with the nations bicentennial. The twenty twenty-six edition also ties in with the upcoming FIFA World Cup. The full collection will be revealed at the Overland Park Convention Center on April fourth.
