Raymond Michael Sanders Junior, a 32-year-old inmate at Lansing Correctional Facility in Kansas, was found unresponsive in his cell and later pronounced dead. Sanders was serving a ten-month sentence for parole violation, following a 2021 conviction for assaulting law enforcement officers. He had recently violated parole and was charged with violating the Kansas Offender Registration Act. The cause of death is pending autopsy results, and the Kansas Department of Corrections and Kansas Bureau of Investigation are investigating.
