In Leavenworth County, Kansas, two bystanders saved a German Shepherd from drowning in Stranger Creek. They used a ratchet strap to secure the dog and kept it afloat until firefighters arrived. The team then rescued the exhausted dog, which had been in the water for three to four hours. The German Shepherd was reunited with its owner after receiving medical care.
