Grinter Chapel, a historic Kansas City landmark, returns to the Kansas Delaware Tribe after a century-long absence. The chapel, originally taken from the tribe in the 19th century, was transferred back during a ceremony in March 2026. The tribe plans to restore the chapel for community events and to house Native American art and tribal archives.
