Darryl Hall, a former New Jersey bagel slinger, is bringing an authentic Jersey vibe to Overland Park with The Grateful Bagel. Opening in late May or early June, the shop will offer classic Jersey bagels and breakfast sandwiches, including a Taylor Ham option, and even sandwiches named after Grateful Dead lyrics. Located near Blue Valley Northwest High School and sports fields, the shop is a long-held dream come true for Hall, who found the Kansas City area to be a more promising market than the saturated Jersey scene.
