Donald Trump's lawyers have filed an opposition to Special Counsel Jack Smith's request that Judge Tanya Chutkan impose some limitations on Trump's speech, prohibiting him from threatening, intimidating or harassing the witnesses against him. The filing by Trump's lawyers reads like a combination of an extended tweet and a Trump campaign ad. Glenn explains why Trump's lawyers are dead wrong in their assertion that a judge who has placed a defendant on release pending trial has NO authority to limit that defendant's speech in any way.
