This season of Jury Duty explores the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse. In The Trial of Kyle Rittenhouse: Prosecutor's Opening — Part 1, host Kary Antholis begins an examination of the opening statement made by Prosecutor Thomas Binger on November 2, 2021. Over the course of the episode, we follow along as Binger recounts the events leading up to the night of August 25, 2020, and as he anticipates the defense arguments by encouraging the jury to question whether Kyle Rittenhouse really did act reasonably and in self-defense.
