Perkins, LookMovie, introduces us to the central character, a large wind-up toy monkey that plays a drum and ominously signals death, reminiscent of the board game Mouse Trap. While trying to sell this peculiar item at a local pawn shop, a surprising twist reveals the curse he unknowingly acquired for his young twin sons, Hal and Bill, during his time as a commercial pilot. Years later, the boys are left grappling with the mystery of their father's abrupt departure and his failure to return, leaving behind a collection of oddities that their mother, Lois, desperately wants to clear out of her closet.
