Buckle up, because this week we wrap our skeptical little hearts around Extraordinary: The Revelations—the third and allegedly most profound installment in the series that promised to demystify UFOs for the masses… and kinda didn’t. With a 5.4 IMDb rating and a roll call of ufology’s VIPs, you’d think we’d be swimming in disclosure gold. Instead, it’s jargon without explanation, regression therapy thrown around like a BuzzFeed quiz, and filmmakers whose “deep ties to the unexplained” might just mean they own a Ouija board.
We dig into the odd disconnect between their goal of mass accessibility and their strangely gatekept storytelling, plus the head-scratcher backgrounds of creators Jon Sumple and Jack Roth—who somehow have fewer online breadcrumbs than a ghost hunter in flip-flops. The trilogy claims to enlighten, but this episode? It’s here to expose the fluff.
