"Time flies when you're having fun"

In this episode of Journey Through Sci-Fi, we continue our exploration of the time travel subgenre with two films where travelling through time turns history into an adventure.

First we discuss A Connecticut Yankee (1931), an early time-travel story inspired by Mark Twain's novel about a modern man transported to medieval England.

Then we explore Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), the cult sci-fi comedy about two teenagers travelling through time to recruit historical figures for their school presentation.

Together these films show how time travel stories can transform history into one of science fiction's most entertaining playgrounds.

Journey Through Sci-Fi explores the history of science-fiction cinema one subgenre at a time, pairing films from different eras to see how the genre evolves.
