You have to follow up on your goals and put in the hard work required to reach them. [3:39] What stops somebody from taking an action? One of the most common reasons people don't take action is because they're afraid of rejection. Whether it's asking for a date or follow up after a business meeting, the fear of being rejected can be paralyzing. The key is to not let the fear of rejection stop you from taking action. [8:54] Listen to your client's problem This means not just hearing the words they are saying, but also trying to understand the feelings and needs that are behind the words. Only by taking the time to truly listen can you hope to provide the best possible solution. [14:10] Your job as an agent A typical day in the life of a real estate agent revolves around two main things: follow up and business development. You follow up with clients who are interested in buying or selling property, and you develop relationships with new potential clients. Of course, there's a lot of research involved as well. You need to know your market inside and out, so you can provide the best possible advice to your clients. But at the end of the day, it all comes down to follow up and business development.
