Show Notes
Three men accused of attempting to murder two lawyers in Durban are heading to a pre-trial conference at the Durban High Court in early May. The suspects, Siyanda Emmanuel Mbulwana and Mcebisi Corlen Runeyi, along with local Kholwani Prayman Ntanjana, are charged with the attack on senior counsel Coreth Naudé and attorney Rianda Chinnera last July. The motive remains unclear, but the attack occurred after a tax inquiry involving Andile Mpisane, son of businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize. Naudé and Chinnera were representing the South African Revenue Service commissioner during the hearings. The defense has requested video footage to build their case, and more details are expected to emerge soon on why these lawyers were targeted.
