Tshililo Mafuka, a successful tomato farmer from Limpopo, won Tiger Brands Emerging Farmer of the Year award. Starting with rented land and stream water, he now owns property with a borehole, creating seasonal jobs and supplying over 3,300 tonnes of tomatoes to Tiger Brands. Through the Hulisani program, he received irrigation pipes, technical advice, and financial help, securing local raw materials and reducing import needs.
