Voting rights continues to be under attack as the two pieces of legislation in the U.S. Senate, the Freedom To Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, remained stalled until it passes. Madison and others, such as Ben Jealous and Melanie Campbell, are calling for Congress (and President Biden) to not waste time and pass both acts of voting rights protection. Also, Gen. James Clapper converses with Madison on the op-ed he wrote w/ Gen. Michael Hayden on protecting elections being an issue of national security.
