A study at Harvard found that Black women in Michigan and Georgia have died from COVID-19 at disproportionately higher rates than white men. Researchers say they are not surprised by this finding, being that Black women intersect both the Black identity and the female identity, two identities that are often neglected and unresearched by western healthcare systems.
