Jason Mitchell joins the JMO Podcast to discuss his favorite topics when targeting walleyes in the spring on rivers. As the seasons change here in the Midwest, for many anglers the first opportunity to get in a boat and target walleyes occurs on a river. Rivers in the spring can provide a wide variety of opportunities making this time of year inclusive to a wide variety of fishing strategies. Depending on the river, anglers often abandon their big sparkly boats for a johnboat or even a pair of chest waders to reach a prized area to catch big walleyes. There's a lot to like about spring river fishing.
