S2 Ep 68Race Mayhem Recovery and More

Join us this week for a special episode of your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast filmed at none other than The Compound itself!! We found ourselves together this week (and the next few to come) and decided it best to head out to where the magic happens and talk a little bit about that magic. Or maybe just the Mayhem Recovery. That's right this week's episode theme is Mayhem Recovery while Racing or RMR as we like to call it, and we're going to cover a little bit about the behind the scenes of club racing the the commitment that it actually is. A club racer is a special type of person with an extreme amount of dedication and tenacity, we've learned through our time that it takes both those things and more to run even one race weekend, let alone an entire season. So sit back and relax as we cover the amazing sport that is motorcycle racing and provide you with that sweet sweet great entertainment!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Head in the Game) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/

S2 Ep 67Suspension Perfection with John Hutchinson

This week we decided, rather than just covering some more motorcycle racing with your two favorite hosts, we'd bring on a special guest to give us the run down on suspension. John Hutchinson from P1 Racing is an expert bike builder and complete with a mechanical engineering degree and many years of experience we'd definitely call him a suspension guru as well. Beyond suspension and bike building John considers himself a psychologist of sorts as sometimes it takes a little more than just mechanical brains to effectively talk to a motorcycle racer. More importantly John is here to teach us all about suspension on a motorcycle and why it's so important when it comes to riding as fast as possible. Beyond that he'll give us plenty of details on what else needs changed on a modern race bike, and some opinions on the best racing bikes ever built!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Be a Translator) P1 Racing: https://www.p-1race.com/ (281) 255-6004 [email protected] MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/

S2 Ep 66Brothers on the Podium and a 10 Point Lead

Another week down, and another amazing episode of your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast. Of course we're going to bring you amazing coverage of this weeks MotoGP round at the Sachsenring!! Or at least our thoughts and opinions on the happenings of the weekend, and what a weekend that was!! From two brothers on the podium, to a change in the championship lead and some big wrecks and surprising results we talk about it all!! Pecco got lucky with a Sunday win, but was it truly luck, or is the robot the perfect pressure cooker? Martin was headed for another perfect weekend until late in the race when a small mistake left him 10 points behind the 2 time world champion. From MotoGP in Germany we move into Round 4 of USBA and the wild weekend there! Some carnage left a few bikes with scrapes and bruises, but another healthy weekend of racing for the Utah club was definitely had! All this and more in this weeks episode so sit back relax and enjoy!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Outside Hand Placement) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/

S2 Ep 65Battling Tire Pressure and Dry Rain

This week we bring you coverage of the latest race in Assen with MotoGP!! But not only race coverage, between races the riders, crews, and manufacturers have all been working hard to ensure that every MotoGP fan is thoroughly confused on what to expect in 2025. This years silly season has definitely been one for the books, and some large changes have been made all throughout the paddock!! Beyond that the Cathedral of Speed was not the most exciting race, but definitely interesting with the battle of tire pressure which finally ended up as a loss for Marc Marquez. Beyond that Bagnaia continues to squeeze the gap between himself and Martin applying more and more pressure to see if he'll pop. From the other side of the water and quite literally opposite side of the world we also bring you some coverage of Moto America at The Ridge Motorsports Park. June and the Pacific Northwest issued quite a strange batch of weather leaving many of the racers on "the wrong tire" for the race, when rain falls does the ground get wet? To finish it all up, except we actually discussed it at the beginning, we will also talk a little smack on Formula 1 because we are bike people after all!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Vision is the Key) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/

S2 Ep 64HOV Lanes and Club Racing With Wyatt Ferguson

From Arizona this week we bring you a special guest Wyatt Ferguson from FergFactoryRacing!! As an original road rider/canyon chaser Wyatt has been riding bikes for quite a while, but a couple incidents in the HOV lane led to him eventually ditching the road and chasing a racing dream! From ZX10 to R1 and finally landing on an R6 Wyatt has had quite a successful racing career and has now qualified for and raced in several Moto America Races. Looking to complete almost an entire season with Moto America this year traveling with the Privateer Industries team and racing in the Super Sport racing class we'd say he has been quite successful so far and hoping for more success to come!! So strap up those seatbelts and helmet straps sit back and relax as we unwrap Wyatts full story and learn a little more behind the scenes of how he got where he is now, and where he plans to be in the future!!! S2 Ep 63Another Weekend of Red Flags Italy and NC

From Italy to North Carolina, we bring you the tales of another weekend with many red flags. Not to say it wasn't a successful weekend on all accounts, the first ever WCR race round took place on the world stage in Italy with none other than Mallory Dobbs representing the USA and securing a successful weekend. The King of Brakes Toprak himself demonstrated a perfect weekend proving that he is in fact meshing quite well with the M1000RR, while maintaining his title by doing not one but 2 stoppies down the front straight to win the race!! In NC this weekend we completed another successful trackday at a small racetrack known as the North Carolina Circuit for Automotive Research or NCCAR, although this weekend we'll refer to it as NCBIKE!! Red flags haunted us but that didn't stop us from having a great fast weekend. And to top it all of Moto America raced at Brainerd this weekend with another successful weekend and more tales to follow from the Privateer Industries team!!! S2 Ep 62White Water Rafting or Riding? Wet Track Days and More

In certain regions of the US the weather likes to be wet, but you can't let that stop you from riding/racing motorcycles, the show must go on!! However if you find yourself feeling off or you're bike just isn't operating as normal maybe take a pause and get the issue figured out. That being said riding in the rain gives you amazing bike control and can make you that much better/faster on the dry asphalt. Besides the coverage on a recent track day for Kohl up in the PNW we bring you some intense coverage of not just the Italian GP but also the updates and behind the scenes stories from this year's MotoGP silly season. It seems mostly figured out at this point, but why were the moves that were made decided on, and what may have prompted them from further up. Besides MotoGP we found ourselves watching more wet motorcycles with Moto America at Road America this weekend, and we'll give you some highlights from there as well. So buckle up that helmet and throw on the windshield wipers for another wild and wet episode from your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast!!! S2 Ep 61Details Behind TrackTime with Alan and Jen

This week we decided to bring in the owner/operators of one of our personal favorite trackday orgs in the USA!! Tracktime is a relatively new motorcycle track day organization that has operated solely at The Ridge Motorsports Park for several years now, but are actually expanding their operation to northern California adding Thunderhill Raceway to their calenday for 2024!! With both Alan and Jen having racing experience they know importance of teaching racetrack fundamentals from the very beginning and implement that into each of their track days, but what else makes Tracktime so different from the rest of the orgs? For the answer to that question and many others you'll have to stick around for the full episode, and of course you'll be able to enjoy some solid motorcycle chats as always from your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast! S2 Ep 60Debriefing USBA Round 2 With Lugnut

Episode 60 kicks off with a surprise co-host Anthony (Lugnut) Norton!! USBA Round 2 is now complete with quite amazing results from the entire privateer industries team!! To tell you all about it we decided to get Lugnut on and host with us! Insane ever changing weather struck Utah once again this weekend leaving several races in the rain, and a few with a drying track. Drying tracks and rain races made for some interesting decisions down in the paddock and we're here to give you the full rundown on those!! Beyond wet and dry racing, multiple personal best laps were also set and Lugnut officially entered into a very illusive club at UMC West known as the 1:29 club!! Don't forget we also had an amazing weekend in Moto GP!! We'll finish the episode off with our thoughts and a quick recap of the race and of course our fantasy points leader and highest score!! Snow, ice, wind, and freezing temperatures strike Utah and UMC as USBA kicks off the 2024 season with round 1 on the East Course!! Good weather Saturday, made for some amazing, but sadly the fun didn't last as the dreaded Utah spring weather effect took over slammed the track with freezing conditions. The question is whether or not the racers there this past weekend were happy about the decision to cancel the rest of the day, or if they would've preferred to tough out the nasty Utah weather and race in the most extreme conditions. S2 Ep 46If You're Cold They're Cold with Chris Hamlett

If the temperatures outside are getting near the freezing level or well below zero and you're looking to store some tires, you better have them tucked into a bed with a heated blanket over the winter to prevent damage. In all seriousness this week we had the awesome opportunity to talk with Chris Hamlett the South Central US Pirelli dealer and get some great new info about tires from him. From discussion regarding whether or not you should run slicks, to what the compounds actually mean and what a "sticky" tire really truly is, we cover a lot of great info. Tire pressure changes, tire warmers, rain tires, storing tires, and balancing tires, we cover just about everything, including the life of a tire vendor and we can all help keep our vendors alive so we don't have to bring and change our own tires all the time. So sit back and relax while three men have a great discussion about rubber and go check out Chris and Pirelli if you're in the South Central Area. https://www.scrcracing.com/ (south central racing center) https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (bittinger motorsports)

S2 Ep 45Students of Traction with Aaron Stevenson of CornerSpin

Road racing in the dirt? That was our first question and if definitely got answered this week by the man himself Aaron Stevenson or Coach A. Joining us from Cornerspin in North Carolina Coach A answered all of our questions and hopefully some of yours too! From everyday adventure riders here in the States to racers and road riders in Europe, and an impressive lineup of current racers that have trained with him, Coach A has quite the resume at his school of traction (or maybe the lack thereof) and told us all about it. Known worldwide this school teaches fundamentals of the two-wheel life that many would write off as unnecessary but he has proven time and time again with all of his students trained that these fundamentals are in fact useful and not only useful but vital to a safe and fast life on two wheels. S2 Ep 43Go Buy That Motorcycle!!

Moto GP is right around the corner and with that two teams have already made their team announcements with new liveries and sponsors! Beyond that of course we're going to speculate on what this season could look like not only for Moto GP but specifically for a certain rider and the team he left. Marc Marquez left the Repsol Honda team as many know, where will that leave HRC and where will Marquez be by the end of the season. Unfortunately, he isn't the only unknown this season as most other rider's contracts also close after 2024. Besides Moto GP we also discuss how motorcycles have come full circle with their prices. Two-wheel transportation was once much more expensive than your standard everyday car but due to the increase in larger vehicle prices, we've seen a big turnaround on that front. So sit back strap in and enjoy an opener to the Moto GP season and plenty of reasons why you should in fact GO BUY THAT BIKE!!

So stick around pause and replay when you need to (it is a lot of info) and don't worry if you miss anything we're planning another episode with David before the 2024 season officially kicks off!!

S1 Ep 37From Snowboards to Motorcycles and Everything in Between

From snowy cold mountains in Wyoming to the warm sunny California that houses some of the most popular racetracks for motorcycles in the US. Why would a professional snowboarder make such a big lifestyle change and what does snowboarding have to do with motorcycle racing? We're back this week with special guest Rainy Pogue to discuss exactly these topics. And of course have some good old motorcycle riding and racing conversation. On top of that great news, of course, we couldn't go a week without mentioning Marc Marquez, who left the Valencia test leaving everyone giddy and nervous about what lies in store for the Ducati stable next year. S1 Ep 35Jorge Martin Tries Killing Marc Marquez

You would think that following the end of the 2023 MotoGP season we would be talking about who won the championship. Unfortunately this week the biggest and craziest news we have came from the man who didn't win the championship but left it all out on the track in an attempt. Trust us when we say left his all we mean it, he left not only his effort but also his bike, and the rider that he wiped off the track after a very controversial move on the inside of a turn. Beyond the insane Jorge Martin news we will of course cover the full action of the weekend, and our thoughts on the world champion and maybe even his celebrations. Make sure you tighten up your seatbelt and get ready for this intense story of a completely action filled motorcycle racing weekend in Spain!

S1 Ep 34Jorge Martin Cracks Under the Pressure and F1 Destroys Vegas

As we near the end of the Moto GP season with only one race left on the calendar the fight for the championship was dwindling to near zero points, sending us straight for a final race world championship shootout. Unfortunately, due to either tires, stress, or just pure bad luck, it seems that the championship may already be decided as the point gap grew to a shocking 21 points after this week's race. On the other side of the world and on 2 wheels we cover a little bit of F1 news from Las Vegas this past weekend. And since we absolutely cannot forget the left behind Ducati rider Fabio Di Giannantonio made some impressive moves this weekend and gave his team and himself quite the going away gift. Stay tuned for all these great stories, our opinions on them, and many more details, new episodes every week!!

S1 Ep 33Is Chuckwalla a Large Lizard or the Most Unique American Race Track

From the WorkingClass Compound, Stable B, and Las Vegas NV we bring you episode 33 of the greatest moto podcast of all time!! This week guest Anthony "Lugnut" Norton joins us for our weekly discussions of the goings on in the motorcycle world. As (almost) always we're going to cover the latest MotoGP action from Malaysia, but this week we get some special time to discuss a little more with Lugnut as we dive into the going's on out at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway and the CVMA racing league. Chuckwalla is a unique track in southern California with it's busiest time of the year being when most other US racetracks are shutdown for winter. Due to the "harsh" climate of the desert of California Chuck remains open and actually quite busy compared to the rest of the year as the CVMA season kicks off and many top riders from around the nation come to partake in the racing and join the great community that is CVMA!!https://www.racersedgeperformance.com/

JKMoto is headed from one side of the country to the other to check out one of the newest tracks in the United States!! Podium Club in Casa Grande AZ is a new track that is hosting one of the biggest track events of the year, The Track Day Massacre. Unfortunately, after a recent track day, it is unknown what the full status of the Gixxer will be, and sadly that unknown part of the status is whether or not there will be new brakes for the next track day. On top of personal motorcycle stories and goings on also enjoy some highlights and look-backs at MotoGP from Phillip Island this weekend. S1 Ep 29A Weekend of Crashing

Why a weekend of crashing? Honestly we're not sure we know the exact reason, it could be rain and cold weather, it could be the fall season in the air, or it could be just an east coast thing that happens. Either way between our trip to Carolina Motorsports Park and Moto GP this weekend, it sure felt like there was crashing everywhere. MotoGP was in Indonesia but with a full weekend of track riding at a brand new track in all sorts of conditions you can expect episode 29 to cover the track day weekend more than the motorcycle racing of the weekend. From new and different asphalt to new bikes and tires with different ratios, listen and enjoy while we cover the awesome weekend we had conquering Carolina Motorsports Park.

S1 Ep 28Dunlop Tires and Where to Ride in the Winter

A week off of Moto-GP means a free week for us to discuss regular everyday track junkie items, such as tires, slicks, tire warmers, riding in the winter months, winter maintenance, frozen engines and so much more. Join us this week as we make some crazy accusations in the tire world and have a good time just talking about motorcycle content. As trackgoers and club racers, it's often insane how many tires we shred through, and even crazier how quickly that can happen. Could it be the different compounds? Is it a suspension problem? Or is it possible that the new Dunlop aspect ratio has changed the way their tires wear for the worse? Stick around and find out for yourself what our opinions and findings are. Also included is a little bit of what to do with yourself in the upcoming always long "off-season" here in America known as winter.
