Perhaps Eliot Ness’ greatest nemesis was not Al Capone in Chicago but a lesser known criminal in Cleveland who was known as the “Torso Murderer”. After his “Untouchables” heroics in the Windy City, Ness came to Cleveland and confronted a murderer, who in some ways, made Jack The Ripper look like a schoolboy. While the legendary crimefighter never caught his man, Ness had a “secret suspect” and our guest today thinks he knows who likely committed the crimes.
As a native Clevelander who grew up near where the murders took place, I have always been fascinated by this case.
