The DOJ announced today it reached an agreement with Hunter Biden that will allow him to avoid jail time and serves as a mere fig leaf of accountability. Under the terms of the agreement, the DOJ said Hunter Biden will plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of failing to pay federal income taxes and got pretrial diversion for a firearms violation. The timing of this is incredibly suspicious as a judge sets Donald Trump’s trial date on his indictment. Former US Attorney Brett Tolman joins to explain what this all means and how DOJ may be playing favorites.
