Char and Kurt welcome Deputy Chief Tammy Malphurs of the Volusia County Beach Safety Ocean Rescue (BSOR)...what we commonly refer to as Beach Patrol. Tammy shares with us a little bit of what goes on behind the scenes in regards to the changes with Beach Patrol. She gives us insights on what it takes to become a lifeguard and more! They keep our beaches and visitors safe and too often go unnoticed. They have more water rescues than ANYWHERE else in the state of Florida! Listen to hear the numbers.
