Award-winning interior designer and TV personality Vanessa DeLeon was creating her brand before personal brand creation was cool. Her design flair led to creating furniture for brands such as MTV and becoming a contestant on HGTV's "Design Star", but no opportunity was ever handed to her. DeLeon talks with True Underdog Jayson Waller and co-host John LeBlanc about how reinvention has shaped her success, how being denied a spot on "The Apprentice" became a good thing, and how she effortlessly incorporated Notorious B.I.G. into the design of Waller's home.
