Broncos bounce back before battle with Bulldogs
Following a much-needed bye week, Boise State bounced back with an impressive win over Wyoming in its first test during a tough stretch of Mountain West games to conclude the season. The Bronco defense, which entered the game at No. 113 among FBS teams in total defense allowing 428.3 yards per game, held the Cowboys to just 112 yards in the dominant effort. Boise State was also led by red-hot receiver Eric McAlister and veteran running back George Holani, who made his first appearance since the season opener at Washington. An ever larger test is up next, as the Broncos ride into Fresno to battle the Bulldogs Saturday night for the Milk Can rivalry trophy. Fresno State touts a passing attack that ranks 14th in the nation and third in the conference, along with a confident defensive unit.
