The doctors couldn't tell Melissa exactly why she wasn't getting pregnant through IVF. Instead, they just gave her the (scary low) odds of her actually getting pregnant with her own legs and left the decision up to her. When I met her, Melissa was about to get an egg donor after two failed rounds of IVF.
