In this Episode, Dr. B shares a story where she was able to model NVC process on the spot in a school situation. It's so easy to forget the empathy component, especially when things get edgy. And, in schools there is so much going on in every minute, that it's super hard to remember how effective a little empathy can be to turn around situations and help youth hear what you'd like to share. This was a just-in-time situation when empathy de-escalated a situation seemingly magically - but really it was all about just learning how to listen.
