Welcome to Wine2Wine Business Forum 2021 Series. The sessions are recorded and uploaded on Italian Wine Podcast. wine2wine is an international wine business forum, held annually in Verona Italy since 2014. The event is a key reference point for wine producers and a diverse variety of wine professionals eager to develop and grow their wine business worldwide.

About today’s session:

The COVID-19 crisis has deeply changed travellers’ behaviors. Despite their interest towards gastronomic and wine experiences is still growing, they are requesting even more innovative, engaging, active and sustainable experiences. Roberta Garibaldi will present the new needs and expectations as well as emerging trends. A particular attention will be placed on (1) wine tourism, by presenting the new proposals that travellers are seeking along with traditional tastings and visits, and (2) sustainability in gastronomic and wine experiences, by explaining the sustainability issues that may drive travellers’ decisions and showing how to crate sustainable experiences. The presentation also includes a wide range of national and international best practices, as to concretely explain how suppliers can adapt their current offering.

About the Speakers

Roberta Garibaldi

Roberta Garibaldi is a university professor, author of the Rapporto sul Turismo Enogastronomico Italiano (report on gastronomy tourism in Italy), president of the Associazione Italiana Turismo Enogastronomico (Italian Association of Gastronomy Tourism) and advisor to the Italian Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia on food and wine tourism. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the World Food Travel Association and of the Board of Advisors of the World Gastronomy Institute.

She works on research, training and territorial development projects related to food and wine tourism and is a keynote speaker at the main thematic conferences on the subject, such as those of UNWTO – United Nations Tourism Agency – and the World Economic Forum in Davos.
