Show Notes

Welcome to Episode 1575 on Italian Wine Podcast, Wine, Food & Travel With Marc Millon. Today, he will be interviewing Giuseppe Mazzarosa

More about today’s guest:

Cantina Mazzarosa is a historic winery located in the heart of Abruzzo, boasting a rich legacy that began in 1863. It stands as a testament to over 150 years of passionate winemaking, intertwined with the very birth of the Kingdom of Italy, through the visionary leadership of Senator Giuseppe Devincenzi. Senator Devincenzi, not just a political stalwart, but an inventive genius, transformed his property into a pioneering vineyard, introducing innovative techniques now revered in winemaking. The winery is nestled in the esteemed Colline Teramane DOCG region, specifically in Roseto degli Abruzzi, where the vines benefit from a unique terroir enriched by the Vomano River and the Adriatic Sea's proximal breezes. Today, the Mazzarosa Devincenzi estate stands as a living narrative, encapsulating a family's dedication to crafting wines that are a fusion of tradition, innovation, and the unique terroir of the Teramo Hills. As stewards of this enduring legacy, the Mazzarosa family continues to produce wines that resonate with history, passion, and the land's unique character.
