Local community members and activists in Waltham Forest united in protest Waltham Forest Council ahead of a key Pension Committee meeting to debate the definition of arms companies and weapons.
The council had previously agreed to the community’s demands to divest from companies linked to arming Israel and human rights violations.
The outcome of the meeting solidified the definition, resulting in a commitment to halt investments in any companies involved in the manufacture, sale, or transportation of arms.
