President Donald Trump proposed a mass movement plan for Gaza into Jordan and Egypt.
This idea was rejected by Egyptian, Jordanian foreign ministers and by Hamas officials.
Omar Shakir from Human Rights Watch criticized the proposal, suggesting it implies large-scale forced displacement. Francesca Albanese, UN special rapporteur, condemned the idea as "illegal, immoral, and irresponsible," equating it to ethnic cleansing.
